Let’s take a quick look at the past couple years
2012. I started this blog right before my trip to Nice, France to visit my cousin and I did reviewed 2 restaurants there. After that I came back home for my summer vacation and kept blogging for the rest of the summer. I think that was the most productive time that I’ve been on this blog (shame on me now, I know).
2013. This was the year I entered college in New York and things went crazy for me as I was trying to work on making new friends and adjusting to the new life. So I only wrote 2-3 posts but those content was on point.
2014. College got harder as I was trying to graduate early. Also, I spent a semester studying abroad in 3 different cities: Rome, Sevilla, and Paris. 3 freakin months of constant traveling and learning new language and culture, and of course food. I met amazing people that became such good friends later on in life.
2015. The year that I’ve finally done with books and tests and anything related. I graduated only a semester early and came right back to Vietnam. As any fresh graduate would do, I went all out hunting for jobs even they were so underpaid.
2016. I think 2016 was the most difficult year for me because I couldn’t figure out my career path. I tried event planning, marketing, content writer…but none of those has really spoken to me. I felt lost and started to compare myself to others, which was so unhealthy.
2017 – now. I was thinking to myself: “Why not start over again with something I love and love doing?” So that’s what get me here writing this post. I AM WRITING BLOG ABOUT FOOD AGAIN. But this time I’m going to be more serious and 100% dedicated to it.
In the very near future, I’m going to have a makeover for Freaky.foodies from theme to content and visual aspect as well. It’s not only going to be restaurant and cafe reviews anymore. I hope to include recipes, cookbooks review, travel tips and restaurant guide.
Therefore, I truthfully hope that you guys can give this blog another chance and get ready because shit about to get from 0 to 100 real quick!
Until next time, stay freaky
